To recruit the assistance and services of volunteers to work with schools to achieve better educational outcomes.
We will achieve this by recruiting and training the volunteers and deploying them to the schools
to:

A. Collect data/information on areas of need.

B. Brainstorm on the best lines of action to provide intervention and solutions to the observed problems.

C. To work with partners, schools and volunteers to provide ongoing solutions to identified needs in the schools.

Here at educationinmycity, we are driven by a single goal; to make quality education accessible to all.

We seek to harness the passion of education enthusiasts (volunteers) and to partner with the relevant government agencies, public school administrators and parent-teachers-association, to work together in identifying challenges of quality delivery of educational objectives in individual schools and providing solutions to the identified problems.

• School Visits

Our volunteers receive in-depth orientation on educational systems, procedures, goals and deliverables and commit to visit adopted public schools at least once in a month.

The reports from their visits to the adopted schools form the basis for the development of solutions to the challenges identified in the schools. This design brings us closer and face-to-face with some of the problems that can be solved by basic intervention.

• Stakeholders Forum

With our mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for improving public education. We hold monthly meeting with all key players to make plans, review activities and project new approaches making positive impact. Contact us to learn more about our commitment to this cause.

• Tech Experience Hubs

Our Tech Hubs is exclusively designed to provide practical participation in ICT-related body of knowledge. As against just learning theories, students will have opportunities to practice with computers and the internet.

Facilities and personnel are on ground to demonstrate and guide students through the practicals. In partnership with schools, students from the schools in the neighbourhood of our facilities are scheduled for continuous practical
activities that will make their learning experience meaningful.

• Practical Experience Centres

Our Experience Centres (Science Laboratories and Art Studios) are designed to augment classroom learning by providing practical activities and models (in form of demonstrations, experiments and projects) that enhance understanding of theories.

Facilities and personnel are on ground to demonstrate and guide students through the practicals. In partnership with schools, students from the schools in the neighbourhood of our facilities are scheduled for continuous practical activities that will make their learning experience meaningful.

• Sports Development Facilities

In partnership with local authorities, we make use of existing sports facilities to provide opportunities for discovery and development of talents in sports activities. Students from participating schools are trained by experienced coaches in different sports and engaged in competitions that provide further opportunities for richer experience.

We recruit volunteers from every echelon of the society; captains of industries,
professionals, businessmen, government officials, politicians, clergy, etc, to contribute meaningfully to the upliftment of educational standards.

Many individuals have observed with utter helplessness the depreciating standards in the educational institutions especially in the public system.

Many would love to help, but don’t really know how to go about it. Many would love to do something, but do not have a platform to do so educationinmycity provides the needed platform that gives everyone the opportunity to act.

Our volunteers can participate as school visitors, guest instructors and or programme executives.

VOLUNTEERS PARTICIPATION
Volunteers can participate in any, some or all of the following categories:

• School Visitors

We will deploy trained volunteers to visit schools periodically in order to facilitate first-hand appreciation of the challenges facing our public school system and proffer solutions to them.

• Guest Instructors

Volunteers who are confirmed experts in areas relevant to our programmes will be deployed to facilitate the execution of various programmes in our experience centres.
