The Technology Employment (TEMP) Bootcamp Project in Rivers State is a FREE ICT Training and Job Linkage Program for Youths (ages 16 – 30) in Web Development, Digital Marketing and Graphics Design sponsored by PIND Foundation under the Youth Employment Program (YEP).
As part of its Economic Development Program, PIND started the Youth Employment Program to provide marginalised young people opportunities to sustainable employment or enterprise development through technical, soft skills and entrepreneurship training.
The TEMP Boot Camp 3
The goal of the TEMP Bootcamp 3, is to train 60 unemployed/under-employed youths in Rivers State with on-demand ICT skills that will translate into revenue generation, job creation, sustainable entrepreneurship and socio-economic growth.
Interested participants are to choose from any of the 3 tracks available based on their interest namely;
- Web Development
- Digital Marketing
- Graphics Design
Application of interested participants will be reviewed based on their chosen track.
Successful candidates will go through an intensive training that gives them the required skill set to become key players and harness the opportunities in the digital economy either as entrepreneurs or professionals in their chosen tracks.
They will also be exposed to various soft skills like leadership & communication, entrepreneurship, conflict management and career skills.
Program Duration – 6 months (3 months training, 3 months compulsory internship)
Location – Rivers State.
CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION
- Age: 16 – 30 years
- Must be available for 6 months (Duration of training & internship)
- Can bear the cost of transportation etc… to and from the training center.
NOTE: There will be no starter-packs at the end of the program, rather successful participants will be linked to available employment opportunities or supported to start their small enterprises.
